VDL Jonckheere, a Belgian company whose roots can be traced back to coachbuilder “Jonckheere Works” that was destroyed during World War II, approached Ugur Sahin Design with the task to re-create one of the firm’s greatest creations, the one-off Rolls-Royce Phantom I Aerodynamic Coupe, which currently resides in the Petersen Museum in California.
The Dutch design firm accepted the challenged and designed the Rolls Royce “Jonckheere” Aerodynamic Coupe II featured in these renderings. Ugur Sahin said that his company is currently looking for potential investors and parties to become involved in the project and create a production version of the car.

Bentley created a highly desirable and exploitable segment for others to jump-in since the day it previewed the EXP 9F and its plans. So, although it’s still lonely at the top, it’s only a matter of time before the Bentayga will have to deal with “unwanted” rivals trying to take its place.

The new Ghost Alpine Trial Centenary Collection pays tribute to the Silver Ghosts that embarked on the Austrian Alpine Trials in 1913, where Rolls-Royce Works Team and privateer entrant James Radley won the 1,820 miles-long (close to 3,000km) endurance race.
The special edition Ghost Alpine Trial Centenary Collection takes close inspiration from Radley’s Silver Ghost with a bespoke “baby-blue” paint hue, and black grille and wheels. Inside, the clock displays the stages of the rally and timings, while inlays to rear picnic tables and the front fascia represent the topography and distances of the Alpine route, and the headliner matches the hood of Radley’s car.
Along with the modern day Ghost special, Rolls-Royce also plans to celebrate the centenary of the 1913 Alpine Trial by participating in a faithful re-enactment organized by the 20-Ghost Club, which will start in Vienna on 14 June 2013.
