2016 Chevrolet COPO Camaro Concept [SEMA 2015]

The COPO Camaro was designed with assistance from NHRA Camaro Funny Car Driver Courtney Force, featuring a Red Hot paint job with Courtney’s signature graphics on the exterior. Under the carbon fiber hood there a 350 racing engine with a Whipple 2.9L supercharger on top.

Chevrolet was able to reduce the body-in-white mass of the Gen Six COPO Camaro by 133 pounds (60.5kg) and increase the structural rigidity by 28 percent thanks to the lighter and stronger body structure of the new Camaro.

Racers can select from a variety of supercharged and naturally aspirated LS and LT engines based on which class they intend to participate, including a supercharged 5.7-litre, a naturally aspirated 7.0-litre and a new LT-based 6.2-litre engine. All the engines are paired with a racing Turbo 400 three-speed automatic transmission.
