2013 Dacia Sandero Stepway (UK Market)

The Stepway is the crossover versionof the Sandero five-door supermini with 40mm extra ground clearanceand a tougher exterior look thanks to the black body cladding, satin chrome roof bars, front and rear scuff plates, black wheelarch extenders and 16-inch alloy wheels.

There are two engine options starting with a direct-injection, turbocharged, three-cylinder 0.9-litre producing 89hp (90PS) and returning 52.3 mpg UK (43.5mpg US or 5.4 lt/100km) with CO2 emissions of 125g/km.

Those who prefer diesels can opt for the 1.5-liter dCi 90 with 89hp (90PS) that is good for 70.6mpg UK (equal to 58.9mpg or 4.0 lt/100km) and CO2 emissions of 105g/km.

Customers can pick between two trim levels. The base Ambiance offers Bluetooth, metallic paint, a radio/CD system, ESC, plus driver, passenger and front side airbags, as standard.

The Lauréate grade adds air conditioning, a chrome front grille, full electric windows, electric heated door mirrors, a MediaNav seven-inch touchscreen multimedia system with satellite navigation, AUX and USB inputs and four speakers, cruise control, speed limiter and rear parking sensors.

Dacia’s special edition take on the Duster is offered in a choice of two colors Glacier White and Pearl Black, both highlighted by special exterior décor and bespoke upholstery detailing.

You also get 16-inch steel wheels finished in black, roofbar mounted spotlights, front and rear skidpads, red arrows marking tow ring and jack locations, and side protection with Duster markings.

Renault/Dacia Duster by DC Design (Indian Market)

Called the DC Duster, the SUV has received a complete overhaul on the inside, with the Indian aftermarket company adding materials like faux wood and artificial leather and fitting the car with a multimedia infotainment system for the rear right passenger.

The center console continues all the way to the rear seats, meaning the DC Duster is now a 4-seater. The two generous seats in the back are six-way adjustable, with the left one even forming a bed - provided that the front left seat is folded.

The car’s body is painted matte black, with DC Design replacing the Renault logos with its own. Other changes include custom DC alloy wheels and polished side steps.

Elia Dacia Duster SUV

The German company dressed up a white-colored Duster SUV with a matte black styling kit that includes the wheel arch extensions, the lower halves of the bumpers, the mirrors and the door decals, along with an assortment of chrome accessories such as the front and rear bull bars, rocker panels and the 20-inch wheels.

A new set of LED rear combination lights, a stainless steel sports exhaust system with twin tailpipes and a multimedia system inside, round out Elia’s upgrades.

Preview: 2014MY Dacia Duster SUV

The Duster gaining a new face with redesigned headlights and grille that remind of the Renault DCross concept. Although the headlights retain their previous shape, they are now divided in three distinct elements, one of which houses the DRLs (Daytime Running Lights).

The redesigned grille is more imposing than before thanks to the addition of two chrome-plated strips and a new, lower-set air intake. The Duster also gains labeled roof bars with slatted supports, while new 16-inch “Dark Metal” alloy wheels and “Mud and Snow” tyres reinforce its off-road appearance.

At the rear, changes are more subtle and include slightly redesigned taillights, a chrome-plated tail pipe and new “4WD” lettering.

Mercedes-Benz Ener-G-Force Study Concept (G-Class)

“The Ener-G-Force is the vision of an off-roader that, while reflecting tomorrow’s adventures, also invokes the genes of the Mercedes-Benz off-road icon, the G model,” explained Gorden Wagener, Director of Design at Mercedes-Benz Cars. “Modern and cool, it could also be a clue about a new beginning for the off-road design idiom of Mercedes-Benz.”

Ener-G-Force Designer Hubert Lee says that the concept uses important genes such as proportions and design elements from the original G-Class adapted to the modern world.

Under the hood, the Ener-G-Force Concept justifies its name with a futuristic fuel-cell powertrain that consumes recycled water stored in tanks on the roof to power four wheel-hub motors offering a completely theoretical operating range of about 800 kilometres or close to 500 miles.
